Alpha-adrenergic agonist activity; reduces capillary fragility through saponin membrane effects

Research Notes

Ruscogenin demonstrates venoconstrictor activity in both in vitro and clinical studies of venous insufficiency. Acts as sympathomimetic agent improving vascular tone. Primary active compound in Butcher's Broom extracts.
