Cucurbitacin R
AnimalMechanism of Action
Research Notes
Animal studies using the formalin test and carrageenan-induced paw edema model demonstrated significant analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects of cucurbitacin R from C. tayuya root extract. A 2004 study showed dose-dependent reduction in nociceptive behavior in the hot-plate test, supporting the traditional use for neuralgia and neuropathic pain.
